Meet Our Founder
Wendi DeMorst, Founder & Independent Educational Consultant
Wendi DeMorst is an accomplished educational strategist and dedicated educator with more than 26 years of experience supporting students, families, and academic institutions. She began her academic journey at Spelman College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, and further expanded her global perspective through studies at University of London. She later earned her Master’s degree in Teaching from Chapman University, deepening her lifelong commitment to education and student success.
Throughout her career, Wendi has become especially known for her ability to guide students and families through the college admissions process with clarity, strategy, and personalized support. She believes every student possesses unique potential and that, with the right guidance, students can confidently pursue opportunities that align with their goals, talents, and aspirations.
Wendi’s professional experience spans multiple areas of education, including serving as a middle and high school English teacher, high school counselor, nationwide instructional trainer, literacy coach, and educational leader. Most recently, she served as Associate Dean of Student Instructional Support at a community college, where she spent 18 years leading academic support initiatives, supervising large-scale student success programs, and supporting thousands of students on their educational journeys.
Today, through SONNOG, Wendi combines her extensive educational expertise with a highly personalized approach to help students and families successfully navigate the ever-evolving college admissions landscape.
