Artificial Intelligence (AI) Disclaimer.

Effective Date: September 1, 2024

At SONNOG, we believe in using technology thoughtfully and responsibly to enhance the services we provide to students and families.

SONNOG may use artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted tools as part of our business operations and service delivery. These tools may assist with tasks such as drafting or refining website content, emails, social media posts, educational materials, questionnaires, planning documents, research organization, presentations, graphics, administrative materials, and other business-related content.

AI tools may also be used to assist with grammar, clarity, organization, brainstorming, formatting, and efficiency. Examples may include platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, AI-powered writing or editing tools, and similar technologies.

AI is used as a support tool, not as a substitute for professional judgment, personalized advising, or human review. Content generated or assisted by AI is reviewed, edited, customized, or approved by SONNOG before being used when appropriate.

Student Essays and Applications.

Effective Date: September 1, 2024

SONNOG does not use AI to replace a student's authentic voice or to write college admissions essays on a student's behalf. Our role is to help students brainstorm, develop their ideas, strengthen organization, receive feedback, and communicate their own experiences effectively.

When AI-assisted tools are used in connection with student work, SONNOG's goal is to support the advising and revision process while preserving the student's ideas, experiences, and individual voice. Students and families are also responsible for following the AI policies, honor codes, and application requirements established by the colleges, universities, scholarship organizations, or other institutions to which they apply.

Accuracy and Technology Limitations.

Effective Date: September 1, 2024

Although AI can be a valuable resource, AI-generated information may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. SONNOG therefore uses professional judgment and human review when incorporating AI-assisted information into our services. Clients should not consider AI-generated information a substitute for official information provided directly by colleges, universities, government agencies, financial aid organizations, or other authoritative sources.

As technology continues to evolve, SONNOG may incorporate additional AI-assisted tools when we believe they can improve efficiency, communication, creativity, or the overall client experience while remaining consistent with our commitment to personalized, ethical, and student-centered advising.

College Admissions Disclaimer.

Effective Date: September 1, 2024

SONNOG is committed to helping students present the strongest and most authentic version of themselves throughout the college admissions process. We provide personalized guidance, strategy, resources, and support to help students make informed decisions and submit thoughtful, competitive applications.

However, college admission decisions are made solely by each individual college or university. SONNOG does not and cannot guarantee admission to any college or university, including a student’s preferred or “dream” school.

Many factors that influence admissions decisions are outside of SONNOG’s control, including institutional priorities, applicant pools, academic requirements, enrollment goals, and individual admissions decisions.

Our role is to guide, support, and prepare students throughout the process. While we work diligently to help every student put forward their strongest application, no specific admissions outcome is promised or guaranteed.
